Meet and Greet
Adelaide City Care provides a Meet and Greet service to help new migrants into settlement.
This service provides new arrivals their first link to a new place, that being South Australia and helps with settlement on arrival.
Meet and Greet includes:
- Greeted by a volunteer at the airport
- Transported to temporary place of accommodation
- Provided with information and assistance in securing housing and rental accommodation
- Supported to undertake all the essential tasks that need to be done on arrival eg, opening a bank account, registering with Medicare, applying for a tax file number and more.

New Arrivals Dinner
Adelaide City Care host a welcome dinner for new migrants who have recently arrived as a way helping new migrants make new connections. Guest speakers provide information on housing, employment and finance. Also hear from other newly-arrived migrants who have successfully transitioned.
